We were lovers of country music. Classic 90s country. Back before Taylor Swift, Lady A, Shaboozey and Dasha were main stream and you couldn't hear country music outside of your own home or car (unless you had a discman obviously!)

So we did what anyone would do and searched for opportunities to hear country music in 'the wild' and came across Line Dancing. This new and exciting prospect of dancing the night away to our beloved tunes, without the need for any partner, at MAX VOLUME. Oh yes, we had found our place.

​

We lived in our wonderful little line dance bubble dancing 4-5 times per week and driving a hell of a long way to clubs, socials, weekends and line dance competitions for years until the unthinkable happened... life. Exams were looming (yes we were that young once!), children were born, jobs and family became the primary focus as we became official adults.

​

Over the years we kept saying we would go back, but our old haunts were active no more so we tried other variations of dance (some we don't speak of *cough* belly dancing *cough*) and nothing filled that void and sparked the pure joy of line dancing. 

So when we ran out of excuses to deny ourselves an enjoyable night out for one night a week... we returned. We returned with a few surprises. Line dancing 2.0.

The times had moved on, the dances were more complex, the song genres were more varied and what's with all the corners and A/B/C walls?!? but we were in love once more. A long lost love that was waiting for us all along.

We want to share our love of line dancing with you. We want you to feel the music and joy and movement that is more than just exercise. Even if there are a few tags and restarts to contend with on occasion...

The Line Dance Co is fully insured and we are proud to say that all our instructors are ELD (Everything Line Dance) Accredited to all levels of line dance teaching and we cannot wait to teach you the latest line dances.
